Tag role: a role for server tag wearers

Whoever wears your server's tag in their profile automatically gets a role – whoever takes it off loses it again.

Discord servers can have a server tag – a short badge members wear next to their name. With the tag role you say thanks automatically: whoever wears your tag gets a role, whoever takes it off loses it.

You'll find the page under Dashboard → Tag role (/dashboard/<server>/tag-rolle).

In the dashboard#

  1. Set up your tag in Discord under Server settings → Server tag (that's a Discord feature).
  2. In the dashboard, choose the Role tag wearers should get.
  3. Switch on Tag role on and click Save.

yurna then syncs all members right away. Status shows how many wear your tag and when the last sync ran. Sync now starts the sync by hand.

Warning

Use a role just for this. yurna removes it from everyone who doesn't (or no longer) wear the tag – even if someone got the role by hand.

yurna needs Manage Roles and must be above the role.

Common questions#

How fast does someone get the role?#

Usually right away, as soon as Discord reports the change. At the latest with the next sync – yurna syncs on start and every 6 hours.

Does another server's tag count?#

No. Only people wearing exactly this server's tag get the role.

Does the tag role cost anything?#

No, it's free in every plan.
