Ban & boost message
yurna announces bans and server boosts in a channel – with your own text or embed.
SetupDashboardModerationMessages
Just like the welcome message, but for two other occasions: when someone is banned, yurna posts a ban message; when someone boosts the server, yurna says thanks with a boost message.
In the dashboard#
- Open Ban & boost message in the dashboard (
/dashboard/<server>/ereignis-nachrichten). The two sections can be reached directly via#banand#boost. - Choose the channel.
- Design the message as text, embed or both – the preview on the right shows it with sample values.
- Click Save and turn the section on at the top right.
Placeholders#
| Placeholder | Ban | Boost | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
{user} | ✓ | ✓ | Mention of the member (pinged on boosts, not on bans) |
{user.name} | ✓ | ✓ | Discord name |
{user.id} | ✓ | ✓ | User ID |
{guild} | ✓ | ✓ | Server name |
{reason} | ✓ | – | Reason for the ban (“No reason given” if there is none) |
{boostCount} | – | ✓ | Number of boosts after this boost |
Good to know#
- Every boost counts – including a member’s second boost, as long as Discord sends a boost system message for it. If boost system messages are turned off on the server, yurna announces a member’s first boost.
- yurna reads the ban reason from Discord; this requires the Ban Members permission.
- yurna needs Send Messages and Embed Links in the channel.
