Color roles: name color with /color
Members pick their own name color with /color – twelve standard colors plus your own, optionally only for certain roles or from a level.
With color roles members pick their name color themselves. yurna creates one role without permissions per color – a member always has at most one of them.
You'll find the page under Dashboard → Color roles (/dashboard/<server>/farbrollen).
In the dashboard#
- Switch on Color roles on.
- Choose an Anchor role. yurna creates the color roles right below it. For the color to show in chat, the anchor role should be above your other colored roles.
- Optional: Only for these roles (e.g. boosters) and a Minimum level from the level system.
- Under Standard colors you switch the twelve colors on or off one by one. Under Custom colors you add colors with their own name.
- Click Save and then Create or update roles.
When creating, yurna also syncs name and color of existing color roles and deletes the roles of colors you removed.
Warning
yurna needs Manage Roles and must be above the anchor role in the role list. If yurna is too low, the page shows a hint – the roles are still created, but not in the right place.
How many custom colors?#

Discord's select menu can't hold more than 25 colors.

Only you and yurna see the menu. When you pick a new color, yurna removes the old one.
Common questions#
The color doesn't change – why?#
Discord shows the color of the highest colored role. Move the anchor role (and with it the color roles) above your other colored roles.
Can I rename a color role by hand?#
Yes, but the next Create roles resets name and color to what the dashboard says.
Who may pick which color?#
All members, unless you limit it with Only for these roles or Minimum level.
