Reputation
Members thank each other with reputation points. Includes a leaderboard, history, thanks detection and rules against rep farming.
Reputation lets members give each other a point – as thanks for help or a good tip, for example. It shows you who the most helpful people on your server are. In the dashboard you set rules so nobody can "farm" points.
How it works#
- With
/reputation give, a member gives another member +1. You can't give reputation to yourself or to bots. - With
/reputation take, you subtract −1 – regular members can only do this if you allow minus rep. - With thanks detection, a "thanks @name" in chat is enough (see below).
/repor/reputation getshows the current score.
In the dashboard#
- Open Levels & rewards → Reputation.
- Switch reputation on or off at the top right. While it's off,
/reputationand thanks detection are paused; the leaderboard and history stay. - Switch to the Rules tab, set the rules against rep farming (see below) and save.
- Optional: turn on Thanks detection there.
- Tell your community about
/reputation give.
What else you'll find on the page:
- Key figures: changes and active givers over the last 30 days, members with reputation and the total of all points.
- Leaderboard: members with the most reputation – click to open the member's page.
- History: every change and adjustment, newest first, with giver and reason.
- Adjust: give a member (by member ID) +1 or −1, or pick Set to value. This is recorded in the history with your name and reason. Limits don't apply here.
Settings#
The rules against rep farming apply to /reputation give, /reputation take and thanks detection:
| Setting | Meaning | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Daily limit per giver | Changes per 24 hours (rolling), 0 to 100, 0 = unlimited | 3 |
| Same recipient only after (hours) | Gap before giving to the same person again, 0 to 720, 0 = no gap | 24 |
| Minimum account age of the giver (days) | Protects against alt accounts, 0 to 3,650, 0 = off | 0 |
| Members may give minus rep | Members may give −1 with /reputation take; the value may then drop below 0 | off |
| Thanks detection | "thanks @name", "thx @name" or a reply with "thanks" gives +1 – with the same limits | off |
Thanks detection in detail: yurna recognizes words like "thanks", "thank you", "thx", "ty", "tysm", "merci" and the German "danke". The point goes to the mentioned person – or, if nobody is mentioned, to the author of the message being replied to. If it works, yurna quietly reacts with 👍; if a limit applies, nothing happens.
By command#
/rep gives you a quick look; everything else runs through /reputation.
| Command | What it does | Important options |
|---|---|---|
/rep | Shows reputation (quick) – everyone | user (empty = you) |
/reputation get | Shows a member's reputation – everyone | user |
/reputation give | Gives +1 reputation – everyone, with limits | user, optional reason (shown in the history) |
/reputation take | Takes away 1 reputation – everyone if minus rep is allowed; otherwise only with "Manage Server" | user, optional reason |
/reputation set | Sets the reputation – Administrator only | user, amount, optional reason |
/reputation settings | Sets the rules; without options it shows the current state – needs "Manage Server" | enabled, daily-limit (0–100), same-user-hours (0–720), min-account-days (0–3,650), allow-negative, thanks-detection |
The reason (reason, up to 300 characters) is saved in the history, just like an adjustment in the dashboard. With /reputation settings, options you leave out stay unchanged. Members with "Manage Server" can use take even without minus rep, but the value won't drop below 0. Negative values with set only work if minus rep is allowed.
Tip
A milestone rule like "From 50 reputation → Give role" rewards helpful members automatically.
Common questions#
What does "You've reached your limit …" mean?#
The daily limit applies. The message tells you when you can give again.
Why can't I give the same person another point?#
The gap for the same recipient is still running (24 hours by default).
Why doesn't thanks detection react?#
Check that it's on, that someone was mentioned or replied to, and whether a limit applies.
Are points lost when I switch reputation off?#
No. The leaderboard and history stay. When you switch it back on, everything continues as before.
