🎉 New giveaway

Prize: Nitro for one month

Ends in 2 days

Interactive demo with sample data. Nothing is changed on a real server.

Start a giveaway. Step 1 of 3

Giveaways reward your community and bring life to your server. Members join with a button, and when time is up, yurna draws the winners automatically and announces them in the channel. You can create and control giveaways in the dashboard – or with /giveaway right in Discord.

In the dashboard#

Creating a giveaway#

  1. Open Community & events → Giveaways and click New giveaway.
  2. Prize & channel: enter the prize, pick the channel, optionally write a description and set the number of winners (1 to 50).
  3. Duration: choose With end time and set Ends at (or use Quick pick) – or choose Drop: the first people to click "Join" win.
  4. Optional Requirements: Required roles (one of them is enough; with Require all roles they need all of them), Minimum level and Member for (days). Empty = everyone can join.
  5. Optional Bonus entries: with Add bonus role, members with that role get extra entries. The highest bonus counts.
  6. Optional Look & ping: Image (https address), Colour and Ping role.
  7. The preview on the right shows how the message looks in Discord. Click Start giveaway.

Managing giveaways#

The All giveaways list shows prize, winners, participants, time and who started it. Key figures sit at the top (total, running now, ended, entries). From a giveaway's action menu you can:

  • View participants (with search),
  • Pause and Resume,
  • End now & draw,
  • Reroll (after it has ended),
  • Delete – together with the message in Discord; if it's still running, no winner is drawn.

View on Discord jumps straight to the message.

Settings for new giveaways#

The Settings tab holds the defaults. They apply to new giveaways from the dashboard and from /giveaway:

  • Button & card: button text, emoji, button colour, card colour and whether participants are listed in the message.
  • Channel & ping: default channel and ping role.
  • Texts: Congratulations and Without valid entries (placeholders {gewinner}, {preis}, {server}) plus Notify winners by DM.
  • Log: an optional log channel. Start, end, reroll, pause and delete are always in the server log as well.

How a giveaway works#

  1. yurna posts the giveaway in the channel. Members click 🎉 Join – or 🚫 Leave if they change their mind.
  2. When it ends, yurna draws the winners and congratulates them in the channel. If there are no valid entries, the giveaway ends without a winner.
  3. A drop has no duration: first to click wins. It ends as soon as as many people have joined as there are winners.

A giveaway runs for at least one minute and at most 60 days.

By command#

Everything also works with /giveaway. You need Manage Server. Any member who can see the channel can join – no command needed, just the button.

Common questions#

What does "Invalid time format" mean?#

Use values like 10m, 2h or 1d.

Why doesn't "Reroll" work?#

You can only reroll after the giveaway has ended. End it first with End now & draw or /giveaway end. A drop can't be rerolled.

Why doesn't the message appear?#

yurna needs "View Channel", "Send Messages" and "Embed Links" in the chosen channel.

Can I pause a drop?#

No. Drops can't be paused – only ended or deleted.

How do winners find out?#

yurna congratulates them in the channel. With Notify winners by DM they also get a direct message.
