Game Deals: free games and discounts in a channel
yurna posts free games and discounts from Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG to a channel of your choice – with history, status and “Check now”.
With Game Deals, yurna posts deals to a channel: games you can keep for free right now (like the weekly free games on the Epic Games Store), discounts from your minimum and every discount on games you track. yurna checks the stores once centrally every 15 minutes and posts every deal only once per server. The feature is free.
In the dashboard#
- Open Dashboard → Content & automations → Game Deals (
/dashboard/<server>/game-deals). - Turn on the Game Deals module and pick the Notification channel. yurna needs “View Channel”, “Send Messages” and “Embed Links” there.
- Optional: pick a role to ping – only for free games if you like.
- Under What gets reported, choose whether free games are posted and from which discount (none · from 50% · from 80% · custom).
- Pick the stores: Steam and Epic are on by default, GOG is optional.
- Save – then tap Preview (shows what would be posted) or Check now (posts right away) at the top.
What gets posted#
- Steam: highlights, daily deal and free-to-keep promotions from the German Steam store (EUR), with end date.
- Epic Games Store: the free games of the week, with end date.
- GOG: popular discounts from the catalogue – often many at once.
- Tracked games: every discount on a game from your list, regardless of the minimum discount.
Each post shows the store, title, price before → now or FREE, discount, “valid until” (in your time zone), image and a button to the store. At most five posts per run – free games first, the rest follows in the next run.
Status, “Recently found” and history#
At the top of the page you see the last and next run and how much was posted and found. Recently found lists every deal of the last run with store, price, end date, link and status: posted, already posted, skipped (with reason) or not posted (with error). The history shows the latest runs; quiet runs without anything new are grouped.
Note
“From 50%” now really means from 50% – including 80% and more. Previously each switch only covered its own range.
By command#
Everything on the page also works in Discord with /game-deals:
| Command | What it does | Key options |
|---|---|---|
/game-deals settings | sets up the module; without options it shows the current state | enabled (on/off), channel, free (free games), discounts (none · from 50% · from 80% · custom), min-discount (custom minimum 1–99%), steam, epic, gog, ping-role (role; - = none), ping-free-only (ping only for free games) |
/game-deals track <game> | tracks a Steam game – every discount counts | game: name, app ID or store link; enabled: tracking on or paused |
/game-deals untrack <game> | stops tracking a game | game: a tracked game |
/game-deals list | shows all tracked games | – |
/game-deals check | looks for deals right away | preview: preview only, post nothing |
All commands need "Manage Server". Options you leave out stay unchanged.
Common questions#
yurna says it “can't post in #channel” – what now?#
Give yurna the listed permissions in the channel and tap Check now (or use /game-deals check). The deals will follow, nothing gets lost.
What does “The channel is gone” mean?#
The channel was deleted. Pick another channel and save.
A store didn't respond – do I need to do anything?#
No. That's almost always on the store's side; yurna retries on the next run.
Why can't the search find a game?#
The search uses the German Steam store. Some titles aren't available there.
Does Game Deals cost anything?#
No, the feature is free on every plan.
