Auto threads
yurna automatically creates a thread for every new message in selected channels.
SetupDashboardMessagesAutomation
With auto threads every new message in a channel gets its own thread. Discussions about suggestions, pictures or announcements stay neatly separated and the channel itself stays tidy.
In the dashboard#
- Open Auto threads in the dashboard (
/dashboard/<server>/auto-threads). - Under Add channel, pick a text or announcement channel and click Add.
- Adjust the settings in the channel’s card and click Save.
- The switch at the top right of the card pauses auto threads for this channel without losing the settings.
Settings#
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Thread name | Template with the placeholders {user} (display name), {content} (message text, shortened to 40 characters) and {date} (date). Default: {user} – {content}. |
| Archive after | 1 hour, 1 day, 3 days or 1 week without new messages. |
| Only messages with attachments | Only messages with a file get a thread – handy for media channels. |
| Exclude bots | Messages from bots and webhooks get no thread. yurna’s own messages are always excluded. |
Note
yurna needs the Create Public Threads permission in the channel. Without it, nothing happens.
