Change log: who changed what?

The change log shows every change made in the dashboard with time and person – with filters, before/after and export.

DashboardSecurityAnalytics

When several people manage your server, you want to be able to see who changed what. That's what the Change log is for. It helps you find out quickly why something suddenly works differently.

It records changes made through the yurna dashboard and some bot actions – for example:

  • commands and command categories turned on or off
  • embed color, public dashboard and vanity link changed
  • event logs, welcome and goodbye messages adjusted
  • giveaways created, edited, paused, resumed, ended or deleted
  • reaction roles and reputation changed
  • warnings created, changed or deleted
  • settings changed with a setup command – these entries start with "Slash-Befehl:"

Note

The change log shows what was changed in yurna. What happens on your Discord server itself – messages, joins, role changes – is in the server log.

In the dashboard#

  1. Open Moderation & safety → Logs and pick the Change log tab at the top. Next to it are Server log and Event logs.
  2. Entries are grouped by day, newest first. Older ones load as you scroll down.
  3. Click an entry to see the details: who did it, what was changed and – if stored – a before/after.
  4. Export downloads the current selection as a spreadsheet (CSV) or as JSON.

Filters#

  • Search – searches the text of the changes.
  • Person – name or Discord ID of the person who made the change. From an entry's details you can filter by that person directly.
  • Event – only one kind of change, such as "Giveaway created" or "Command off".
  • From / To – a time range.

Reset filters shows everything again.

By command#

In Discord, read the change log with /logs view. Both you and yurna need Manage Server.

CommandWhat it doesImportant options
/logs viewShows the entries page by page, 20 per page, oldest first – with person and changepage (page, default 1)

The other /logs commands (set, disable, list) set up log channels – see Event logs.

Common questions#

Who can see the change log?#

Like every dashboard page of a server, only members with "Manage Server" or Administrator permission in Discord.

Something suddenly works differently – how do I find out why?#

Filter by the matching event and look at the before/after. You'll quickly see which setting was changed and when.

Why do some entries have no before/after?#

It wasn't stored for older entries. They then say "No before/after was stored for this entry".

What's the difference from the server log?#

The change log shows changes to yurna. The server log shows what happens on your Discord server.
